What information will I get from a Free Assessment?
The Free 30-Minute Assessment is completed over the phone and is meant to answer any general questions you may have regarding Myofunctional Therapy. It helps you to decide if taking the next step of a Comprehensive Exam makes sense and allows us to chat to ensure that I’m a good fit for you. You may choose to start here or jump right into a Comprehensive Exam.
Why is it important to have a Comprehensive Exam completed?
A Comprehensive Exam is 1 hour 40 minutes, completed either In-Person or over Zoom and is an imperative part of therapy. It helps you connect the dots to fully understand how your myofunctional impairments and your symptoms are all connected, as well as helps me to customize the best therapy plan for you to achieve success! We are conveniently located in the heart of Denver in the Platt Park neighborhood, within the space of Aligned Orthodontics (1215 South Pearl St, Denver, CO 80210) for your In-Person exam. Zoom appointments are completed through a Healthcare HIPAA compliant account.
How much does therapy cost?
Comprehensive Exam $250
All therapy options (Sleep Disordered Breathing, Tongue Tie, Tongue Thrust or many times a combination of each) are dependent upon your needs and the information gathered in your Comprehensive Exam. Average cost of treatment in total can be between $1000 - $2700.
Discounts are provided for family therapy. 60% off the second family member present. Limit two family members per family therapy.
Payment plans are available. Two payments for individual therapy and three payments for family therapy.
Will therapy be covered by my insurance?
If you have out of network provider coverage, you may get some reimbursement for Myofunctional Therapy. A superbill can be provided after each completed session.
Can I use my Health Saving Account Card (HSA) or Flex Spending Funds toward Myofunctional Therapy?
Absolutely, you are welcome to use your HSA card or Flex Spending for therapy!
How long will I be in therapy?
This is dependent upon your specific needs and will be determined in your Comprehensive Exam. Average duration is 6-14 sessions or 4-9 months.
The frequency of your sessions is dependent upon skills challenges and progress assessments evaluated at each visit. Average frequency is 2-3 weeks.
Where do I go for therapy?
Therapy sessions are available either over Zoom or in person for your convenience. Zoom appointments are completed through a Healthcare HIPAA compliant account and we are conveniently located in the heart of Denver in the Platt Park neighborhood, within the space of Aligned Orthodontics (1215 South Pearl St, Denver, CO 80210).
How long are the therapy sessions?
Please reserve 60 minutes out of your day for therapy sessions.
How quickly will I see results from therapy?
Success of Myofunctional Therapy is completely dependent upon you. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. My most compliant patients will notice results or ease of their symptoms very quickly!
What if I have a scheduled vacation during therapy?
That is no problem at all. We will work around our schedules and keep you on track!
Will I be referred to any other doctors/providers for any reason?
Possibly, it is very important to work collaboratively with specialists as needed. Patients may be referred out for conditions such as tongue tie, sleep apnea, enlarged tonsils, severe allergies, orthodontics and speech therapy.
How long will the effects of therapy last?
The lasting effects of therapy are based on the patient's awareness once they are done with treatment. Awareness is key! We must utilize the skills learned and be aware of the behavioral change created with Myofunctional Therapy!
